Onam Examinations Question Papers

The Kerala Government has decided to conduct the quarterly examinations / Onam Examinations in the State-run schools. During its tenure, the previous CPI(M)-led LDF Government had stopped Onam and Christmas Examinations and proposed a half-yearly exam during October and a final exam during March-April. UDF Government has decided to conduct the Onam and Christmas Examinations in Kerala state run schools. The examinations would be held from August 10 to 21.

The education department of Kerala has announced that the Onam Examinations / Quarterly examinations in 2026 will be as class test. Schools can download required questions from a collection of questions from the authorized website.

Who can apply for National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examinations

Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India has launched a centrally sponsored National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Scheme. Under this scheme scholarship will be awarded to 1,00,000 students (at National level) selected at the end of class 8. The scholarship will start from Class IX and would continue till Class XII at the rate of Rs 6000/- per annum. The objective of the scheme is to award scholarship to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at Class VIII and to encourage them to continue their studies till Class XII

The State Council Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Kerala is conducting National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE) for selecting talented students from financially backward families. Students studying at 8th standard in any Government / Government aided schools in Kerala may apply for NMMS Examination. The annual income of the guardian of the student should be less than 1,50,000/- and the student should earn at least 55% marks in previous year examination (7th standard annual examination).

Date of National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination 2014 : 02-11-2014 time 9 am to 10.30 am Part I - Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and 11.30 am to 01.00 pm Part II - Mental Ability Test (MAT)

Model Question Papers for National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examinations

SCERT conducts National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examinations as 2 part, each part has 90 minutes duration. The first part is Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), which contains 90 questions from Social Science, Science and Mathematics in Kerala 8th Standard syllabus. The second part is Mental Ability Test (MAT), which is also 90 questions.
